What can I do?<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whether it is the first or the second shoot, some lazier mushrooms only start growing after about twenty days. If they still do not point their caps after 20 days, immerse the bag overnight in a bucket of water. Then repeat watering with the spray for 10 days. If the oyster mushrooms remain asleep, keep them overnight in the fridge (or outside if the temperature is cool). If, despite all these efforts, the mushrooms do not grow, contact us and we will send you another kit!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>I have mould on my kit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The appearance of mould on kits is extremely rare. When it does happen, it is probably due to the opening being much too large. The substrate must be well protected when you open the plastic bag, so it is advisable to just make a small cross of about 5 cm as explained in the instructions for use. This will prevent the kit from drying out and protect it from unwanted invaders?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have mould, open the kit on the other side with a clean knife, making sure to make a small opening.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><br \/>\nHow many oyster mushrooms will this give?<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At least 1 harvest of 200g with the possibility of up to 3 harvests in case of a vigorous oyster mushroom!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><br \/>\nHow do you know when it is time to harvest the oyster mushrooms?<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4-5 days after the start of the growth, when the mushrooms stop growing so fast and just before the edges of the oyster mushrooms start to brown, that&#8217;s the time! Simply pinch the base of the bunch and turn it by pulling it towards you. The whole bunch will come off.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Where should the kit be placed?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indoors, in the kitchen, office or living room for example. It needs indirect light and should not be near radiators, air conditioners and fans to prevent it from drying out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Do I have to open the kit on both sides of the boxe?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No, this is not necessary and would risk drying out the kit. Moreover, there will not be more oyster mushrooms when making several openings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>What to do with the remaining substrate?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can mix the substrate with straw or coffee grounds and place it at the bottom of your garden in the shade. With a bit of luck, new bunches of oyster mushrooms will arrive within a few weeks! After all, small fungi (moulds) are also fond of coffee grounds!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Afterwards, you can place your Fungi Pop in a bright room, but without direct exposure to the sun, at a temperature between 15\u00b0 and 25\u00b0C.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/div>[vc_empty_space]<div class=\"image_with_text\"><img decoding=\"async\" itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permafungi-urbanfarm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Culture-de-champignons-a\u0300-la-maison-Fungi-Pop-2.jpg\" alt=\"2. Once this first pile has turned white, cover it with a new pile &#8211; and so on until the can is completely full!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ideally, the coffee grounds should be added 10-15 minutes after the coffee has been filtered, i.e. simply after you have quietly sipped your cup \ud83d\ude42 . The coffee grounds should therefore be fresh and even warm. Hot water sterilises it as it flows through it, which prevents other fungi or bacteria from developing and landing in the can!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The amount of pomace added can vary. Sometimes the mushrooms decide to grow only on one side. The whole bunch will come off.<\/span><\/div>[\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;FUNGI POP : GROWTH PROBLEM&#8221;][vc_column_text]<b>A green or orange mould appears on my Fungi Pop. Should I get worried, Doc?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Green and orange mould is a sign that other types of mushrooms are present in the box. Don\u2019t worry, it does not mean that your Fungi Pop is beyond repair! When it is the case, both mushrooms will compete, but the oyster mushroom is very competitive. Therefore, it is highly probable that the oyster mushroom eventually smothers the invading mushroom. You can help it by removing the green and orange parts with a tea spoon so that the white part of the oyster mushroom can get back on top. Do not be afraid of scrubbing and removing one or two centimetres of coffee grounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mould may appear for different reasons: when the coffee grounds were added long after that the coffee was filtered, when too much coffee grounds were added to the box, or when the box was not correctly closed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Fungi Pop: oyster mushrooms don\u2019t grow.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It sometimes happens that mushrooms are a bit lazy and take time to grow. It is the law of nature\u2026 If your Fungi Pop turned white from inside but you still do not have oyster mushrooms growing, put it in the fridge for a night in order to trigger a thermal shock. It will, in a sense \u201cstress the oyster mushroom out\u201d. Its survival instinct will encourage it to reproduce as soon as possible and eventually produce mushrooms!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Is the cultivation infinite?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Almost! In fact, the Fungi Pop allows you to grow oyster mushrooms at home forever! When your Fungi Pop stops producing mushrooms, all you have to do is buy a refill of mycelium.
